Carry it out with the monoMaster or Fishpond’s Piopod

Topic: Products At A Glance|

Many fly anglers will end the day with vest and wader pockets stuffed with bits of tippet material after a long day of fishing. These two tools help keep your pockets free of tangled leader material and the riverbank free of mono.

The monoMaster ($13.95), which was introduced to the Calgary market about a year ago, gives anglers a place to store the bits of tippet material they create during a day on the water. This unit can store a lot of tippet material and is re-usable. Attach it to your vest with a zinger and you won’t come home with pockets full of tippet.

New this year is Fishpond’s Piopod ($19.95). This unit is a bit larger than a film canister. The lid is slotted which allows you to stuff the unit with garbage such as tippet, broken flies, cigarette butts, and gum or candy wrappers.

Fish Tales carries both of these products.
