Chris Seipio Complete Introduction to Spey weekend clinic- Join Federation of Fly Fishers certified master fly caster Chris Seipio for this two-day spey clinic on the banks of the Bow River. You’ll receive an introduction to all three styles of spey casting: greased line, Scandinavian, and Skagit. Learn single spey, double spey, circle C and snake roll casts using both hands up. Techniques learned can be used with single hand and double hand rods.
This is an intense course. You’ll be amazed at how much you’ll learn. Course cost is $325.00 plus GST. Maximum of six students. Class meets at the shop at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 4 or 5 p.m. both days.

Single Day – Skagit Focus: Saturday, May 12: The Skagit course will help hone your Skagit casting to a tee. Skagit casting has 3 different specific things you must do in order to achieve truly effortless casting. These 3 things differ substantially from traditional speycasting. This course will review rods, lines, & tips to ensure that your outfit is correctly balanced and you have a thorough understanding of each of these categories. The casts that will be covered are: the circle-C, double spey, perry poke, and a few other surprise casts to add to your arsenal.
Course cost: $175 for the day. Limited to six students.
Single Day – Spey Floating Lines Course: Sunday, May 13
This one-day floating lines course will be pertinent to Scandi, short, mid, and long belly lines. We will help hone the perfecting of your touch and go casts like the switch cast, single spey, and snake roll. We will also touch briefly on the circle- C and the Double Spey. Rods, lines and leaders will also be covered so you have a full understanding of how to achieve a fully-balanced outfit.
Course cost: $175 for the day. Limited to six students.
