TarponTown – Campeche, Mexico – December 2017

If sight-casting to juvenile tarpon sounds like fun, or blind casting in to the mangroves makes you giddy with anticipation, then Campeche’s TarponTown Anglers is an ideal tarpon retreat for you. Campeche continues to entice us with its terrific tarpon opportunities, cultural experiences, and delicious food. Tarpontown Anglers is our operation of choice for Campeche.

Two trips to Campeche for the baby tarpon have simply whetted Nancy’s appetite for the silver king. 2014′s split day – a couple hours in the morning before heading in for a siesta and then returning for a late afternoon fish – is a day she won’t forget. The morning experience was perhaps a once in a lifetime outing in terms of numbers of chances at fish.

Combine this with the ability to visit a Mayan ruin (on the way to or from the fishing grounds) or on a day trip to Edzna, being at a UNESCO world heritage site (the walled city of Campeche), and the fresh flavours of Mexico and you’ve got all you need for a great getaway.

For 2017, Fish Tales is offering a hosted trip from December 2 – 9. This trip will be six days of fishing. Accommodation will be at Campeche’s Ocean View hotel. Pricing based on shared boat and accommodation – includes breakfasts and lunches.

Trip price is $3,350 USD (Tips, evening meals, and return airfare not included.)

December 2 – 9, 2017 –  (Nancy hosting; five spots available). Contact the shop for additional details or to reserve your spot.
